Crock-Pot Pepper Chili

Sometimes on those cold, rainy days you just don’t feel like cooking – or doing much for that matter besides curling up by the fire. In an attempt to make life simple for the day, I whipped up this cook & easy chili recipe that I am sure you will enjoy. It has just enough flavor without a huge kick of spice for those who are not like Steve and our dog Summer who like to eat raw jalapenos!

Crock Pot Pepper Chili


  • 2 tbs chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 sliced red onion
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 1 (28oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15oz) can red kidney means (1 other for optional step)
  • 1 (15oz) can black beans
  • 1 diced Poblano pepper
  • 1 diced Jalapeno pepper
  • 1 diced Serrano pepper
  • 1 diced Green & Orange bell peppers
  • 1 diced green Cayenne pepper

serves 4-6.


  1. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey (can substitute with lean beef) until no longer pink
  2. Drain and add yellow onion to meat; mixing together while it simmers
  3. In your Crock-Pot, add all other ingredients and stir until combined
  4. OPTIONAL: Place a can of red kidney beans in a blender and process until smooth to add to your Crock-Pot mixture
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, depending on your Crock-Pot
