Turkey Noodle Soup

Cold-buster coming at ya! It’s that time of year again when everyone around you is getting sick. Although I haven’t fallen ill YET, Steve definitely has a major head-cold/fever. Do you ever notice how men fair far worse with the same illness that we are able to go about our days with? Not to say that he’s being a baby or anything, but he definitely ran himself ragged working 7 days a week 14+ hour days lately. With this weather, that catches up with you! In order to boost his spirits, I concocted this turkey noodle soup. Even though he’s been sick, the boy sure does still have his appetite!

Ingredients

  • 2 (32oz) cartons Chicken Broth/Stock
  • 2 cups cooked leftover turkey, shredded
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 quartered white onion
  • 1 cup chopped green beans
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 2 cups water
  • dash of ground black pepper
  • 12 oz package of egg noodles

Instructions

  • Add the broth, turkey, carrots, celery, onion, bay leaves, thyme, white and pepper to the slow cooker.
  • Cover, and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • After the 8 hours are up, add the noodles ( 20 – 30 minutes) until soft
